How you can help

If it weren’t for the generosity of individuals, businesses and trusts from across our community, our services wouldn’t be up and running today. But to keep them running tomorrow, we need people like you to take action.

Donate Money

Right now our operating costs are about £420,000 a year (£8000 a week). That’s why financial donations, big or small, make every bit of a difference. For example:

£15 will pay for cooked breakfasts two mornings a week for 15 homeless guests

£30 will buy a sleeping bag for a rough sleeper

£50 will buy a tent for a rough sleeper

Donate a breakfast
Help pay for medical care

£100 will pay for a nurse two mornings a week to support our homeless guests

£500 will pay for the support of one of our guests over a three month period – the typical length of time needed to provide support and care.

Get your business involved

Local businesses often send us volunteers as part of their CSR programmes – a great way to start a close relationship with us. Others host corporate fundraisers – a critical source of support.

We can host up to eight volunteers at a time, either as part of our morning drop-in team, or working on specific projects like cleaning, painting and gardening.
On the corporate fundraising front, these take all forms from marathons and skydives to parachute jumps and bike excursions. Give us a call for inspiration!

Donate your books, DVDs, clothes and more

We run an on-site charity shop that provides clothing for rough sleepers, and household goods for those newly homed.

We welcome anything from clothes, DVDs, books, plants and toys, to cakes, sandwiches, sleeping bags and small tents – the only thing we won’t accept are electrical goods. All proceeds from the shop will go directly back to the Community Centre. (People who need clothing are offered items at no charge.)

Our opening hours are
Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm.
